September 2010 - "New Beginnings"
As a child, I loved the fall. I loved getting new pencils and notebooks. They looked better than the old ones. They smelled great, too.
I lived in a small town without many stores. My parents took me into the city once a year to buy new clothes that were to last until the next fall. Every year, those were the best clothes I had ever had.
For me, the fall is a time of new beginnings even more than the spring. I love new beginnings. They are a gift.
Like many others, The National Christian Choir is starting a new season. It's our 27th year. We have new members and new music. We have some new locations scheduled for concerts. We have innovations planned for Christmas. And we'll soon start working on our 25th CD - Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs - Vol. 4. I'm so thankful for another fresh start.
What about you? Do you need renewal? Then take to heart the words of Psalm 98:1 – "Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things."
