For about one year, I have been attempting to save the 6 o’clock hour on Sunday for a quiet time for worship and prayer as I listen to you bring your music into our home. We have both sought a source of worshipful music for several years. Now that my husband has advancing Alzheimer’s, it is even more meaningful for me. So many demands are made on my day that at time it seems my thoughts are always on problems that are constant and constantly changing!! To put my mind into a place where God’s presence is felt and, indeed, known is often more than I can accomplish—me, one who used to sing in choirs and walk everywhere with a song on my lips, even while driving. At age 77 now, and as solo caregiver of my husband, away from family and friends of old, God’s presence is what sustains me, even when there seems no awareness of His presence. Thank you for all for your consistent giving of selves in His service with your voices and time and thoughtful choice of music. Thank you for being there for those of us like me who yearn for the sounds we hope to hear when se get to our home in Heaven with our Lord.
