The National Christian Choir (NCC) was founded in 1984 by its current Music Director, C. Harry Causey.  The nearly 200 singers come from over 100 different churches throughout the greater Washington, DC, area.  Each person in the ministry signs a Statement of Faith that Jesus Christ is their personal Savior and Lord.  The NCC's mission is first of all to glorify God, and their presentations are therefore framed in a setting of worship.

Rehearsing weekly during the school year, The Choir offers 10-12 concerts annually in the Washington area, makes at least one new recording every year, and usually makes one tour somewhere in America annually. They have sung in all the major concert venues in Washington including The Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall, The National Cathedral, and others.  They have also ministered in many churches and other auditoriums in the region. Internationally, they have sung in the Holy Land and Eastern Europe.  In Israel, they were the featured choir in Manger Square in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve.

Tours in America have taken The Choir to such places California where they were featured twice at the Crystal Cathedral on "The Hour of Power" with Robert Schuller, Colorado where they were the invited guests of James Dobson at the National Headquarters for Focus on the Family, and Florida where they participated on four occasions with Dr. R.C. Sproul’s Ligonier Ministries Conference and were also invited to sing at Disney World's EPCOT.  They have also sung in Washington state, Alaska, Indiana, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.  In 2004, they had the unique experience of being invited to sing aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship on Sunday, July 4, as they cruised to Alaska. In 2006, they have been invited to sing for the opening worship service of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas.

In addition to their live presentations, The Choir’s library of recordings are widely received.  Also, their weekly inspirational radio broadcast, "Psalm 95," is heard on over 300 Christian radio stations in every state of America, all of Canada, and beyond.

The ministry of The National Christian Choir is primarily supported through tax-deductible, financial donations of individuals, organizations, and corporations.
